Minhaz Rahman Piash (মিনহাজ রহমান পিয়াস), who's family given name S.M. Minhazur Rahman (Bengali: এস. এম. মিনহাজুর রহমান) is a Bangladeshi communications professional, filmmaker, and youth leader. He is the Head of Communications at Dhaka Stream and has more than nine years of experience in strategic communication, public relations, branding, and media engagement. He is also known for his contributions to heritage awareness, youth leadership, and global peace initiatives.

Early life and education

Minhaz Rahman was born in Jessore, Khulna, Bangladesh. He completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Drama and Dramatics and obtained an MBA Degree at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) from Jahangirnagar University, one of the country’s leading higher education institutions.

Career

Minhaz Rahman has held senior leadership positions in multiple organizations, including Head of Media & Communications at Naria Group, Head of Corporate Affairs at Live Shopping Ltd., and Head of Operations at ASH Production Ltd. He also served as Chief Assistant Director at Half Stop Down. In 2025, he was appointed Head of Communications at Dhaka Stream.

In addition to his corporate career, Minhaz Rahman has worked extensively in filmmaking, stage production, and visual storytelling. He has directed films and contributed to numerous cultural and awareness projects in Bangladesh.

Youth leadership and global engagement

Minhaz Rahman served as a Youth Ambassador of UNESCO World Heritage Volunteers and as a Child Reporter for UNICEF, focusing on child rights advocacy. He participated in the World Heritage Conference (2018) in Gujarat, India, organized by UNESCO, and the Heritage Awareness Conference under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, India.

In 2025, he was appointed as the Country Ambassador of the Global Peace Chain, a global organization working across more than 100 countries to promote peace, dialogue, and tolerance.
