DJ Mac Cummings (born December 17, 1970), professionally known as The Turntable Minister, is an award-winning American Gospel DJ, radio station owner, and digital influencer.^[1] He is the founder and CEO of DJ Mac Cummings Radio, a global digital broadcasting platform that serves listeners in over 190 countries.^[2]

Early life

Cummings was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He began his career in the music industry in 1993 in Memphis, Tennessee, initially performing as a multi-genre secular DJ.^[3]

Career

In 2009, Cummings transitioned exclusively to Gospel music, establishing his brand "The Turntable Minister."^[1] He has since produced over 150 unique gospel mixes, covering sub-genres such as Traditional Gospel, Worship, Gospel Rap (CHH), and Gospel Jazz.

In 2017, Cummings achieved national recognition by becoming the first Gospel DJ to win the "DJ of the Year" award at the Spin Awards.^[3] On January 9, 2017, he launched DJ Mac Cummings Radio, which provides 24/7 inspirational programming and supports independent gospel artists.^[2]

Personal life

Cummings resides in the Atlanta metropolitan area. He stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 180 lbs.^[1] He is a vocal advocate for the "Turntable Ministry," using music as a tool for spiritual healing and motivation.
